Catch Pokémon, clear routes, beat gyms, and grow your attack in a browser idle clicker.
Here's a quick look at the game:
PokeClicker is a browser-based idle/incremental fangame about catching Pokémon, defeating gym leaders, and making your numbers bigger. You progress through routes, collect Pokémon, clear dungeons, and build enough attack power to move into later regions.
What You Do in the Game
PokeClicker starts simple: click enemies, defeat wild Pokémon, catch new species, and unlock more routes. As your Pokédex grows, your team becomes stronger and you can challenge gyms, dungeons, and regional leagues.
The main loop is battle, catch, hatch, upgrade, repeat. Your Pokémon keep dealing damage, while active clicking helps you push through tougher fights faster.
How to Play
Choose routes to fight wild Pokémon and earn money, dungeon tokens, gems, eggs, and other resources. New Pokémon, shinies, Pokérus-resistant Pokémon, and purified Pokémon can improve your Click Attack.
Gyms and dungeons act as progress checks. If you cannot clear them quickly enough, spend time catching missing Pokémon, hatching eggs, upgrading gems, or farming resources before trying again.
Breeding is important because hatching a Pokémon increases its attack. Keep the Hatchery active whenever possible instead of waiting until you get stuck.
Online Play and Progress
You can play PokeClicker directly in a browser. A desktop client is also available for offline play and performance, but the browser version is enough to start.
In the default regional Pokédex challenge, you need to collect the available Pokémon in a region before moving on. After entering a new region, you may need to reach the dock before freely traveling back.
Controls
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Deal active damage | Mouse click or tap the enemy |
| Choose routes, gyms, towns, items | Mouse or touch input |
| Use menus | Click/tap menu buttons |
| Manage catching filters | Click/tap the Poké Ball filter options |
No fixed keyboard action layout is clearly listed. The game is mainly built around pointer controls.
Tips for Faster Progress
- Keep breeding. A full Hatchery means steady long-term attack growth.
- Do not ignore the Pokédex. New catches help progression and may be required for region travel.
- Farm gems by type. Type upgrades can make specific gyms and routes easier.
- Use items from the menu. Evolution items, vitamins, consumables, and held items can solve progress walls.
- Clear dungeons multiple times. Repeated clears can make some dungeon features easier to manage later.
- Check missing Pokémon carefully. Some come from eggs, evolution items, Safari, shops, fossils, roamers, time, location, or weather.
Why Players Keep Playing
PokeClicker works well if you like collection goals and incremental upgrades. Progress is not about fast reflexes; it is about improving your team, filling the Pokédex, and watching each region become easier as your numbers grow.
